Journal:Legislators Grill Blankenbush On Issues Tax Cap, Prison Closures, Mandate Relief All Discusses At Madrid Ag Forum

Mr. Blankenbush was under the gun in Madrid.  He like every legislator is being kept in the dark.  Many decisions about the budget will be decided after the budget is passed. Which prisons will be closed, how much Educational Aide will be decreased, and will Medicaid reimbursements be cut to providers or will services be cut to clients.

Organizations like the DEC, DOH, and other public entities should not be able to pass any law that requires a fee without legislature approval.  This way the legislators are responsible to the voter and cannot hide behind these organizations.  Time to hold our legislator's feet to the fire.

I,m not a big fan of Ken but he seemed si cere and honest during the session. He and Pat Ritchie are certainly been open for the people. I dont understand a lot about government but I do understand mandates must be lifted, Prisons must be closed, and the education system (administrative_ must be revamped. Addie Russell stated recently dont kid yourself cuts will be made.
The absolute truth is they will be made and our represenatives will have no say in it at all.

I was quite taken with the mayor and sciora going to the conference of mayors in Albany to keep updated. Again its obvious its an election year. They had to babysit Nick Vaugh who fought to get into the pictures with Bill and Art... Wow this guy can posture. I wish he could perform for us as well. I see the mayor of Watertown viwited Russell and Ritchies offices and I hope our mayor and staff visited both also.

Yeh Yeh Yeh.. Nick avoided all functions last year and avoided any acknowledgement of Addie Russell last year I,m sure hes no different now.
Actually nick asked Bill if he should bow down and kiss her ring.. Instead he bowed and kissed her ---. Run Nick Run get some ore pictures and headlines and run again in the fall.. I think people are on to you now..
Nelsons days are over also but I will say that everything he does in what he percieves as best for the city. Its from his heart. Hes not looking to become a career politican like VAugh.
