No Kid Left Behind will be the demise of our school system.

We need to pay the teachers more money for working 180 days per year. It is hard for a teacher to live on 40-50 K per year. Plus all of the benefits. Right Fred?

40 -50 that estimate is a little low. Thanks for that great contract Fred, they pay 500/year for insurance but get 3% raises every year. Sounds like the tax payers lose again!

40-50K are you kidding me ?? - their PENSIONs are way MORE than that in many cases .

If you want a real shock look at the current payroll out there and you'll be amazed.

Remember enrollment has declined, yet the Board spent 57 million on new facilities/remodeling etc when there is a surplus of space due to declining enrollment -- shameful waste IMHO

LOOK up pensions and payroll on the See thru NY website and BTW look at the prison retirements and the Psych Center
