Journal:Man Receives Probation For Hurting Infant
Judge Kathleen M. Rogers
Our justice system at its BEST! He admitted to injuring the baby's mouth, tongue, and face but not the fractured leg...5 years probation for assaulting a defenseless baby.
what do you want from our justice system. Justice... This baby probably posed a threat to this lad and it was self defence right. What can we expect. We have a County Court judge who acts as judge DA and Jury most of the time Family Court judge who falls asleep in the Courtroom City Court judge who just dodged disipline in the matter of the Hammond Bank for misconduct Asst. City Court Judge who was suspended for misapproiate actions with others money. Now this. Kathy Rodgers feel asleep at the wheel on this one. Cant say much about David Demerst however One out of six isnt bad is it.. Its our fault we elected them. Why did they get elected? Thats the big question... Under no circumstances should the mayor or any other single offical ever get to appoint anyone to the bench. There has to be a seperate panel to do this and free from politics if anything can be free from politics. One thing we can do however is petition and write Senator Ritchie and others to change the laws in the State concerning these judges as their terms are too long. Our councilors terms and mayors terms are much too long also.. Senators in this state and assembly people get elected for two years why not locally also.
Integrity is lost in the courts of today. Years ago we had judges like Duskas, Nicandri, Nelson whos integrity was inpecable.. To much politics today involved in the court system.

What can we expect.
