I watched the city council meeting the other night and was very pleased when the council announced that Ritchies office would open in the basement of City Hall. The unpleasant part of the meeting was when Nick Wannabe intoduced a small section of the meeting for thought about changing the way our electoral college votes and how the votes should go to the person with the most popular votes in the nation.
I will agree with that thought. Its a ammendment in our constitution and I think it should be changed. However I feel people in the Federal Government should be changing it not Nicky Vaugh and who he represents. Come to find out his proposal is a Griffo bill and intended to offset the Democratic majority in this state.
Way to go Nick carry the torch for the GOP minority.. Why odnt you get busy in the next few months and do your job for our local people. Three years plus and you have done nothing but get pictures taken, signed on to represent the 118th then quit. Worked for another wannabe in ALEX Bay.. Do something for us please in yor last few months.

I,m very happy also but I know its politcal. Watch over the next how often the mayor, and Vaugh pose for pictures with her or any person of prestige in their attempt for re-election.
Its too bad our city has decayed to the degree it has. The present mayor and council are as to blame as anyone. They as a whole are part of the problem and offer no solution. The prisons and the fort drum expansion has sent all the undersireables towards the Burg with its cheap rent and along with it came the drug problem.. Years and Years of lack of any leadership on our police force has led to the stench around the office today. The unsolved murders, the questionalbe actions by some of the officers, the lack of council for years not filling vacancies lead to an inept force. Our ocuncil tolerated and still tolerates their actions so we are stuck with it. Information they have against elected officals have lead to lucarative pension benefits for some with more to come.
Our landords dont care and have no incentive to do so. Their properties are decaying in front of us.. We have become a city of unenforceable laws. Petty laws passed that can be enforced when the police want to.
We have a city manager who is Anit people and a staff that is very uneasy around his dictatorship.. We have a city who is constantly in competition with local businesses and their owners.
This group will need all the help they can gdt to be re-elected

I agree with Anon 10:28 and have stated these ideas many times. Fort Drum has been the decay of Ogdensburg's Community. Low rents, and here they come. During the Fort Expansion, every call I get for an apartment was from someone from Gouverneur to Watertown. I am not sure what can be done, they are here and they run rampant through the streets. The police department needs to step up!
Last time I went to a City Meeting it was when they tried to keep sexual predators from living 500' from a park. I suggested 2000' which would eliminated just about every area but they would not make the amendment. Now they run rampant in the city. What is 500', 1/2 block what to hell kind of law is that? It was all for show.

Its nice she didnt forget us however she certainly has forgotten her vows to be a changeist... The governors plan to attack the poor and needy is setting well within the GOPs ranks and they are all for eliminating emercgency room care for Medicade repipiants.
The next item introduced and backed entirely by the GOP Senators is forcing recipiants to have drug tests.. Of course this is strictly the rich of this state vs the unfortunate poor.Patty Ritchie backs both..
Republican Will Barkley stated that most poor people do drugs.I think anyone voting for these items should be drug tested.
Any person that is sent to work programs already is tested. Any person with any history of drugs is already tested.
We are trying to cut costs they the Republicans want to add costs to the already strtched system.
Everyone that is on public assistance and anyone with compassion should visit Patty Ritchie at City Hall and express you concern on this bills and question her support for such.
