Journal:Gun Bill Passes Assembly

Microstamping - 8 Digit Code
Addie is at it Again
When will she get the picture, and start representing the views of most of her constituents.  Many hunters, sportsmen, and gun enthusiast live and vote in NNY.  Imposing micro-stamping is just another gimmick to increase the cost of guns to you and I.  How many criminal purchase guns legally? NONE!  How many first time criminals would use their registered pistol with micro-stamping to commit a crime? NONE!

Police agencies do not have a process in place at this time to track these guns.  This law puts the cart before the horse and is a waste of time and money.  If enacted what would they do about the rest of the states that produce hand guns.  Addie thinks this will save money? Does she think everyone believes everything she says no matter how ludicrous?

Firearms microstamping, signed into by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-Calif.) in October 2007 and slated to take effect this New Year's Day (2010), is not in effect since the technology remains encumbered by patents.  Microstamping

Editor.. What makes you feel she isnt representing the majority of her constituants in this matter. I know you bleed GOP but what gives you the right to make statements to this fact.
Addie has represented us very well over her tenure. She cant please everone all of the time so she does her best.. I personally dont like this bill however I,m not sure how I would vote.
I wont be like Poly Info and just print falsehoods jut to take up space but like I said I,d pass on this one but still give her a Aplus on her performance for this district...

As Michael Powers, Bill Nelson and Nick Vaugh believe the second ammendment dosnt fit anymore in these times.
As written this constitutional right has been outdated and outlived. Its out of touch with time.

Its obvious that Powers dosnt support it. I cant say the same for the other two.. Nelson has a mind of his own and has acted in the past though he supports the second ammendment but Vaugh heh heh.. He is a follower. No leadership skills at all and has a problem facing lifes problems . Once he matures and grows up a little he could make some decsiions like these on his own... The rest of the council I,m not sure of....

Since my name was mentioned, again I disagree with this vote. Senator Aubertine did stand tall when that vote came to the floor and they did not pass micro-stamping. I commend him and his effort.

The author is a little off base on his/her facts but has the right attitude. Addie is about Addie!

Wow 13 guns !!! I'm really Afraid of someone who owns 13 guns . Seems excessive to many folks

What does anyone "NEED" 13 guns for ?Are you a registered ARSENAL ?

Talk about overkill and the "potential" for problems .

Really!!! they are various hunting guns. I hope to introduce my children to the sport of hunting and the tradition of handing down to them good quality equipment. I am also a Law Enforcement Officer who has to qualify annually to maintain my Peace Officer status. Practice makes perfect!!

How MANY guns does it Take to KILL something ? Thirteen ??

H'mm Peace Officer huh. looks like perhaps YOu like GUNS too much Sir .

You scare the hell out of me even MORE now ! I mean with a Badge which gives you LICENSE AND and Arsenal of Guns to boot that could equip a small platoon seems excessive .

Teaching kids to hunt is one thing , but my god 13 guns is OVER the TOP .

BTW Do Peace officers have to take Annual Psychological Tests to certify they are of sound mind and can RESPONSIBLY handle authority and weapons and NOT abuse either ?

Hunters, that I know have many guns. Just like cars, a new model every year. Then take into consideration those guns pasted down from your father, and grandparents one could accumulate 13 guns without much effort. Anon2:18 appears to have a personal problem with Mr. Powers and should stick with the issue of Microstamping.

Why have microstamping if there is not a system in place to enforce plus the patent office is still fighting over rights. It is years down the road and not support by any sportsmen in the North Country.

Well said Oburg,

Of course it isn't supported by gun lobby DUH .

BUT that doesn't mean it shouldn't be supported . The vast majority of people do not carry or possess firearms . I am not anti - hunting but am anti gun proliferation regardless of how well -intended people say they are

There are simply too many guns out there and the guns cannot be physically secured 24// young adults have broken into so called " secured gun cabinets " of their ole man and killed people . Just sayin
