WWNY:Russell Wants New York To Adopt Guest-Worker Program

Some want to emulate Utah I think we should emulate Arizona.  The door is half open now and Assemblywomen Russell plans on opening the door all the way.  This is just another Addie statement, made with little or no thought behind it.  I ask Mrs. Russell who would be responsible for screening, importing, monitoring, and enforcing her new plan.  This may catch a few headlines for her but there was little thought behind it.

The farmers do need help but breaking the law is not the solution.  The Assemblywoman should be working with Congressman Owens to expedite the work visa program. The Federal Government has the departments in place and the enforcement capabilities to regulate a program for workers.  The farmers would have to be responsible for their workers and would be responsible for reporting violations.

Maybe we could get the 1 million illegals in NYC to work on the farms in the North Country.  This is a Federal Problem and needs to be addressed!

The blogger with his GOP roots cannot congradulate Ms. Russell for her idea.. Not much thought behind it is his statement..
I dont like the plan myself, but hats off to Addie. At least she gave the idea some thought.. Zero thought from Ken and Patty.. Of course Skelos has no clue about the farmers plight up here so Patty cannot have a position until shes told what she can do....
/Thanks Addie for at least having a position on somethings even if I disagree with them.

St Lawrence County has a big problem that is not being addressed. Big farmers like Cruikshank, Greenwood, Fisher, Akins and Acres are using the illegals and nothings being done. A couple have been inadvertently caught one as the result of a death but still notthings done...
They want you to feel sorry for them and hide behind the small farmers plight to do this illegal stuff. They dont want to pay wages and any bennies. The6y want to work people 16 hous day at less than minimum wages... Thats the problem no the immigration laws but the big farmers greed.

Anon 8:23 I do not support Addies Idea so therefor I can not appluade her, as you do. Something is wrong with that picture. Your liberal views continue to shine. Just like when she voted for microstamping, I did not support that either.
