Journal:Plans for 36th Expo under way
Expo 2012 - Entertainment, Food, and Vendors
Time to buy your tickets for the 36th Boys and Girls Club Expo. I have 3 and will end up with 5 tickets by the time Expo starts. This is a great fundraiser and a great event for the community. Bring venders to the customers and giving them a chance to show off what services they offer.

This will be a great event as usuall.. The only problem I,ve ever had with Expo is the politicans.. Nelson will be out bowing and shaking hands.. Ritchie will have to come by and shake hands, Nancy Martin out hobnobbing with prospective runners for Addies slot... Mike Morley says he,ll be there this year but hes such a liar I doubt it... Heh Mike , by the way you tried to get Nelson off his ass about getting Mrs. Baltratis some honor in this city she served so well. What ever happened.. You guys got Jimmy Howard some honor and all he serves is himself and the Red Wings.. Baltratis gave her soul to this city and needs some respect.
I just posted that in respect to Mrs Baltratis not infering that she was a skunk like the present council. I want everyone to know and remember when Nick Vaugh was so taken by seeing the Stanley Cup he rushed to have Howards name put on the ice rink at the Lockwood center.. I,m not knocking Howard but usally this type of honor is bestowed on people later in their life.. We have two NFL heros of the sixtys and seventys the Gogolak brothers who changed football as we knew it into a kicking specility of today and the coach Mr. Cordwell who recognized their potential and trained them.. Why not bestow some honor on them.. Peter Gogalak played with the Buffalo Bills then NY Giants and brother Charlie played with the Washington Redskins.. They were good and near the best in the league every year they performed.. Mike Morley has asked Nelson for years to honor Baltratis but Nelson wants some his own first I guess Morley is all hot air as you have all witnessed before.. Also when he was brave and campaigning for Nelson he supported open question and answer sessions at the regular meetings. Guess they forgot since Nelson is still conducting meetings the same way.. You get your five minutes and council sits and looks stupid at you .. Then Nelson says thank you....
Patti Richie will be there to repeat whatever Jim Reagan tells her to say. Aubertine actually helped the Boys and Girls club with funding for the computer lab. Patti gets her picture taken a lot, and put in The Journal. But notice she is just smiling, and not really doing anything. Remember how she screwed up the county sales tax issue? Aubertine would have immediately recognized an opportunity to make St. Lawrence County solvent. Patti stayed with the tax pledge she made with her tea party buddies, and left the county in a mess. She does not represent us. She represents people from outside our county. Maybe she and Jimmy have plans for higher office, and they are just using us.
If you follow her trail and record your exactly right. Jim Regan is undoubtly trying to hook on to the Doheny campaign and Ritchie I,m not sure of.. Count her relatives she has working for her. Diane Doyle is the sister to her daughters mother in law shes the last hire locally. If the people really look at the issues she has supported they have been downstate sponsored and she has provided the window dressing. Other than going around and getting her picture taken she has not supported the home county at all.. She might run unopposed this year however in 2014 she will be gone.
County Clerk may have a booth set up and St Lawwrnce county housing and Augustine will both have booths set up.. Sign up for your free houses. You must abide by the rules however.. The rules state in order to get your grant money you must let Augustine tell you what you need to fix up.. They will hire a contractor who will charge you at least three times what the work is worth.. Oh Nelson and Morley say its free money, if we dont spend it someone else will. Of course Nelson says its the Obama administration fault not the citys... Mike MOrley will dress up as pinocchico and every time he lies his nose will get bigger.. No wonder they call him ardvark...
Anon 12:39 and 1:59 same page same BS, typed a lot, but said nothing. You can blame the tax issue on the County, last minute statement that were 16 million short so pass a sales tax increase, some plan. It had not passed the county legislature yet and it was the last week of session, if this was the county's big plan we are in trouble. This year they mismanaged their funds and blame it on the computer system, same computer system we used for the last 20 years with no problem.

The woman was forthright and NEVER used "weasel words" , always Said what she Meant and Meant what she Said .
Todays Ogdensburg politicians couldn't lace up her sneakers much less be compared to a sensible , honest and real champion of the people.
Mrs B safeguarded the public trust invested in her . We NEED more like her NOT what we currently have .

Enjoy this year's expo, because it will probably be the last of its kind. Don't expect the Golden Dome to be open next year.
