Journal:Jury finds Oxley innocent
Two hours later and the jury find OxleyNot Guilty! Now Wayne can start his life and the OPD to can start looking for the killer.

Let's get the D.A. on the city council. She would fit right in with them. Who wasted more taxpayer money? The D.A. trying to convict Oxley or the city council trying to fire Sciorra with cause?
Please stop this! Don't you realize that Nelson, Morley and the rest of the city council are now "big men" because they were able to use their power to fire Sciorra? And you'd better watch out because they've also got The Journal hanging on their every quote.
I do not think any reasonable jury could have found anything other than not guilty.. The first jury was only given part of the evidence and thats why this case got retried.. The second jury was hung thus a third trial was ordered. This DA, ms Duve was strapped with this case from day one of her term. Gary Niles an overzealous assistant DA under Jerry Richards did little or no real investigating into this matter before making a decision to arrest Oxley. This case was dumped on her a few months later when Niles was defeated in the general election. The reasons listed next are what I think are the key reasons he was found not guilty.. A. Very little physical evidence pointing to him B. Niles and Sttae POlice lied about not letting Oxley get an attorney. When he said he asked a husband of an atorney for his wife help, Niles said Oxley was joking around the the Troopers said he never did this.. C. McCarthy lied about evidence and the fact he intimidated a potential witness D. Kevin Fee lied about neighbors seeing a black man in the area that night. Many more lies and distortions by authorities have taken place over the seven year span so we probably will never know the truth.. Oxley feel the police have enough info to make an arrest but I am skeptical to their ability.. Unless someone confesses no one will ever know.. The jury has made their decision so we must abide by it. But this case sure highlights what so many are saying about Ogdensburg and its police force.. Its time for some changes at that department and at city hall in dealing with the drug related crimes in this city. Its time to deal with Ogdensburg becoming a respectfull city again. Not just the hole in the state full of prisons and their rift raft and the perv unit and what they offer. Its time for the city council to spend some time away from the waterfront and spend lots of time in the internal guts of this city fixing its problems. Its time our mayor and council stood up and did their jobs not just sit idely by and get publicity smile and cameras and collectively do nothing.. TIME HAS COME GENTLEMEN AND LADIES TO GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMMUNITY AND DEMAND RESULTS.
Do you realize how many cases are lost by the prosecution each year mainly because of the poor police work and the poor integrity of the police today This case highlights whats being said.. This whole incident should have been investigated by the NYS Police. The Ogdensburg City Police do not have anyone qualified to investigate this type of crime. But because Chief Wells had such a big ego is the reason the NYS Police did not investigate this matter.
Also, the current Chief Polniak does not have any idea on how to solve the murder on Ford St. His answer was he wanted to go hunting instead of staying in the City.
Police lie during arrests all the time.They are trained to. They lie about why they investigate people, why people are pulled over, what they smelled, what they witnessed defendants doing, and yes they lie because they can... Once they lie they are told from the point of the lie, the lie becomes the truth no matter what. Soon they believe their own lie in order to condone to themselves what they have done.. Many many innocent people have gone to jail or prisons because of the authorities and their lies. Even if the defendant if guilty beyond any reasonable doubt if a lie is found out, it makes the case against the defendant weak and smelly opening the door for resonable doubt. In the case of Wayne Oxley, its obvious District attorney Gary Miles rushed to judgment without checking any other leads and lied himself during the original days of the crime. Nicole Duve inherited this mess but shes not really a good prosecutor so a weak case presented by a weak prosecutor was lost.. One thing we got from this trial was an awakening to the names of some of the violent life druggies in the Burg.. Oxley, Shannon, Trickey, Brown, Howe,Webb, just look at the minutes of the trial .. We also got a look at some of the real liars on our force, McCarthy, Kennedy, Miles, Fee, bike cop Bouchard, Shaver... Keep your eyes open taxpayers when dealing with these people. ALso lets put down some addresses of suspected drug dealers or names as you know them.... Keep them in the highlight. We also got a look at one of our lawmakers life style and we should remember this..

Who could play the part of Kathy Wade or Justin Woods to "testify" against Sciorra? And you'd need someone with no conscience like Nelson to run the meeting. Plus cheerleaders like Nelson's mother, ex-wives and girl friends. I wonder if Nelson and Morley will enjoy it as much as Sciorra did?
Talk to Mike Powers and ask him this question... "Why did you choose not to run again?" I think you would be surprised by his response? I firmly believe that he knew he couldn't stop it!!

I have worked along side him and stood with him through many battles personal and at work! Unlike you I would follow him through a prison riot and in his ability to lead know full well that at the end of the day we would be ok!
Proving something in court and seeing it 1st hand and being a tough guy in a riot v being an honorable family man are very different things. Frankly I don't care about any of the stuff in his personal life, but watching the dumb fuck stunble over his thoughts at Council meetings made me embarassed for him, especially since he wasn't smart enough to be embarassed or think for himself.
That and the real world does not reflect either the behavior , environment or values that are demonstrated in the prison by either the inmates or the guards .
The ultra testosterone loaded Macho attitudes i've witnessesd in public displays by CO;s lead me to wonder if their rage factor is is just under the surface at most time -- could be wrong on this assumption but maybe not . Some pretty scary dudes in uni's with badges and a high need to fuel some "respect"

Apparently guards have VERY thin skin and fail to realize that people do not feel either comfortable with THAT behavior nor are we tolerant of it .
Because we are NOT prisoners and frankly are oft put by such juvenile immaturity and attempts to win over folks by intimidation and loutish behavior.

Mike Powers is a wannabe that couldntget want he wanted. He always wanted to be a cop and have that authority..Its obvious from when he first run.. We have one of the most incompetant police forces in this state but he defended them to the very end.. I just talked to a 20 some year retiree that headed the Cert team for a while.. He stated his opinion of Mike Powers was pretty much in line with the comments above... LL certainly pulled no punches about him..
