| Two Key Witnesses in Oxley Trial |
Ogdensburg City Councilman Daniel E. Skamperle was also called to testify. D.A. Duve tried to discredit Skamperle by bring up an alleged affair with a married woman. Judge Richards stopped this line of questioning before Duve could continue. He testified that he and Oxley witnessed Shannon entering Oxley's house when he was not at home. Plus another witness testified that Oxley was very intoxicated and could hardly walk or talk prior to the murder.
Looks like the D.A. is getting desperate, trying to discredit witnesses. Remember most of the people involved in this murder case were drug dealers, drug addicts, drunks, crack heads, and a murderer, and she is trying to discredit Skamperle.

Take a look at Skamps background and his friends.. The story about the marines wife is true by all accounts... Mike MOrley also testified and his testimony literally called Kevin Fee a liar. Another hung jury because of all the nonsence and lies of McCarthy, and Niles.. A guilty man will go free because of all these lies and deceptions and one cannot blame the jury...
No one else did this horrific crime. Jerry Richards is the reason the verdict was overturned in the first trial. The second trial it was a very weak DA who provided the hung jury.. This time the cops lies and distortions are coming out daily but I think a conviction is possible..
I personally think this man is guilty, and his total disrespect for the law and his arrogance makes me wish I was on thejury. However this isnt the American way. I feel for these jurors as their job is going to be very difficult. However a little common sense and a little time deliberating should provide a guilty verdict.
Mike Morley is a expert at calling people liars. It is something he has perfected over the years. I guess that is about the only thing in life he HAS perfected.
Oxley will probably go free, but might end up like other guys from the Burg who got away in the past: Found in a drug house in Miami with his throat slit.

Your right about the people involved with this trial. They are mostly crackheads, drunks and sluts without any life at all..
I am one that believes Oxley did it bragged about it and his arrogance towards the police caused them to lower to his level and lie. John Shannon was no saint by any means but I think he knew what was going on and led the police right. Their conduct after that is questionable...
I am going to go out on a limb and say I believe that the Ogdensburg PD has not solved a murder in over twenty years or at least got a conviction... That speaks volumes.

Maybe our illustrious councilmen Skamperle and Morley can bring us the murderers in Ogdensburg!!
Hope Mr. Skamperle's tained past does not interfer with his present work. But it seens doubtful.
