WDT:Ogdensburg Journal editor will join Ritchie's new staff

Jim Reagen PR
One of our local residents has been added to the staff of Senator Ritchie.  Jim Reagen, Managing Editor of the Journal has joined Mrs. Ritchie's Senate team as her public relations coordinator.  Jim is a good man, he writes well but that is only one facet of  this job.  How will he manage electronic media, Facebook, twitter, blogs, and handle questions when put on the spot?

Mr. Reagen has continually supported the Republican candidates. He will be challenged in his new position and only time will tell if he is up for this assignment. Good luck in your new endeavor.

Mrs. Ritchie should be looking for someone that knows the internal workings of Albany. Someone that can negotiate the myriads of policy, procedure, and legislative prowess.

This person will be key to her success in Albany. These are the people that make or break a Senator.

814.. Have you someone in mind...I think Regan was afairly good choice for what he brings to the table. I hope his earlier criminal events dont bring her down ..

People talk about criminal activity, what was it a pack of gum which resulted in a grudge b/w him and our own Judge Richards, who was DA at the time.

Time will tell about the wisdom of this appointment . Jim Reagan can "work" the NC media, such as it is.

BUT the question remains how will he play with the sharks in Albany and help Ms Ritchie standup to the LI downstate interests and influence pedalers in her own party when that is required is another story.

Remember Dean Skelos held up the state business for over a month courting Espada and Monserratte in the ill conceived and raw power struggle known as the Senate Coup that wasted time and taxpayers $$ .

These are the real problems ahead for the Senate freshmen class from upstate

907.. I havnt got a clue. But just for argument sake if it had been a pack of gum do you condone it. A thief is a thief. No other name for it. You say Richards was DA at the time it would have been a felony if Richards prosecuted it.. I didnt know it was a felony I rather though it was a misdemenor charge of something. Thanks for the info.

The problem is St Lawrence county does not prosecute criminals. Bank robbers get electronic monitoring, two people broke into a house and stole over 200 thousand dollars and one got off with charges dropped and the other got probation. St. Lawrence County is a joke on crime.
