Also a reminder that very few of them came from St. Lawrence County. The proximity of Fort Drum has given veterans and military groups undue influence in this area.
City budget will be about five to six percent increase. County is already announced forteen state tax will go up some and fees will be up at all levels.. School taxes will be going up and I cant figure why.. When going to school the population here in Ogdensburg was almost double. The class sizes in the Ogdensburg district have reduced dramatically over the yearrs yet the school district has about the third more teachers many more assistants to the teachers, many many more principals, now we have a superintendant and now an assistant super yet the graduating classes are almost one half less.. Dosnt make sense anymore.. Time to think about these thing folks and ask yourself when does it stop..
It stops ONLY when Taxpayer who actually VOTE OUTnumber teachers. And their families that vote . until that day nothing will change to address the problem .
