Gay Marriages-Tax Cap-Mandate Relief-Rent Control When will the ball drop and when will the posturing end? Session ends tomorrow and then we will have to wait to see what legislation was passed during the last 24 hours. This is when all the legislators earn their pay checks. The answer to all our questions should come next week. What prisons will close, will there be a tax cap, and will there be Gay marriages in NYS? We could care less about rent control in NNY.

Only the Republicans seem to have a problem with GAy Marraige.
Ritchies position has been shes ok with it and changed to i,ll vote for it but wont recoginze out of state marraige.. Now she wont vote for it.
At some point before the year 2012 election I hope she can take a firm position on something.. Anythng... Please....
She just refused to help her home county in any attempt to alter sales tax if they prefer.. All they asked was her help.. A little help ... No she is too busy and its a waste of time... Then when thepolitical fallout happened she had Regan do all her answers along with some Senator Griffo I guess threw all the stones.... WoW what a Senatorssssssssss
Correction : People of Both parties have problems with Gay Marriage as do people with traditional values .
It is only a vocal minority that consistently PUSHES that agenda.

As a matter of fact that minority has assumed it is a majority and has been assaulting our senses in ALL forms of media to move their agenda forward at the cost of all. .
Primetime TV is no longer sacrosanct -- the gay agenda has continually pushed its selfish needs on ALL . I personally support civil unions but that is the extent of it . I do NOT support the continual brainwash that is pervasive relative to this issue .

They sent the request to change the sales tax at the very end of session. The dems on the legislature should get there shit together.
The POINT is that Ritchie refused to even help or try to help her home county.. I dont think their is enough votes to change the tax anyway, they just wanted help if they so chose.
She is being run by the majority leader, you know it and I know it. She has no opinion nor power in the Senate whatso ever.
Being the silent partner for LongIsland will mean nothing of any consequence for SLC at least for another year. When she runs for re=election they will give her some power so she can show her STUFF...
So for now everything from SLC will be too late, nonessential or whatever SKelos wants to deem it..
Why didnt she answer the legislators. Why did she leave that to Griffo who isnt from this district no has any ties. They her press secretary answered after that....

Its kind of like the running of the County Clerks Office. Because a democratic Governor decided to make a logical appointment the GOP locally has been harping foul.
The wealthy in the GOP have lived priviliged lives and with much power in politics they are used to getting their way. Issues that pertain to equality dont interest them. Gavin Regan is doing an excellent job as County Clerk and along the way has lessened expenses for us taxpayers by getting rid of deadwood.
Rupp is used to getting her way. First because of her friendship to Ritchie got an appointment, a plitical one over much more qualified employees. This was fine so it went unnoticed. Then when she couldnt do the job she was replaced by the Governor and she cried and tried to bump union employees.. Again she didnt get her way... Now she is trying to gain an advantage by distorting the truth about the office, a truth set straight by Mr Regans employees.... Now she will try and attach to Ritchies coattail and sneak back into office...
So in effect 9:35 what u r really saying is that BOTH Regan and RUPP are POLITICAL HACKS who have sucked up to PARTY BOSSES .
Status Cuomo stuck his big nose in and just rewarded a party hack with this POLITICAL appointment . I would like to see someone OTHER than these 2 HACKS get ELECTED not appointed
You know and I know that all it takes is lots of friends to encoutrage you to run. theres lots of more qualified people out there than these two. Rupp has the resources for the money and I,m sure Regan has also. Rupp will try and run on Patty popularity and Regan will get a big lift from the unions....
Money shouldnt be in the equation but its the key....
Kathy Streeter for County Clerk with over twenty years of dedicated service to the County. She had the talent and dedication but Ritchie chose her friend Rupp who also contributed heavily to Ritchies campaign...
