Journal:Lights on the River has more lights than ever
DO NOT miss the Lights on the River, it was very stunning last year and is
only getting better. With a 50% increase in displays from last year it is a
great time for the FAMILY and it raises money for the local food pantry.
The increase in displays is a testimate to our community. Be sure to stop down and enjoy the lights. And if you have anything that you could donate to the food pantries, that would be appreciated too, although it is not necessary as it is free to enter.
It is a beautiful show and I hope to get there again this year.. However something sour just happened in our world that will make this season just a little less cheerful. Say a prayer for the families in Ct. and say one to help keep our safe and sound in the coming months.. ALso contact Patti Ritchie and demand some local action on gun control.. Like our president said This cant happen again we have to take steps... Lets start the ball rolling and contact our Senator and demand she introduce legislation rather than trying to save a college presidents job .. Save our kids lives Patti...
There are better light displays put up by private individuals on their houses that don't advertise anything. Why pay to drive through a light display when you could drive down Route 37 or 68 and see things even more beautiful?
It is 100% free to enjoy the lights. We do not charge admission as it is the community who makes this happen. Then, if & only if you choose, you can make a donation that will go to help local food pantries.

Living in the city of o-burg - I am very impressed with Lisbon Camp ground the Boat Launch and Beach. Keep up the good work on a fine run recreational area. Everyone all year does a fine job.
