Journal:Ritchie employs more staff members than most state senators

Senator Ritchie Staff Budget is in the Middle of the Pack and Under Budget
This is an interesting article and could be spun a couple of ways. I believe the Republicans were elected into the majority because the democrats lack of leadership, too much criminal activities among members, circus charades on the senate floor, and the democrats inability to spend within their means. During the last election the democrats did run up considerable deficits and it was left for the new majority to hammer out a balanced budget.

Senator Ritchie is in the middle of the pack when it comes to spending in the Senate and she has a very large area to cover. She has offices in Oswego, Jefferson, and St. Lawrence County to reach her constituency which is what every Senator should be doing. She is under budget, a conservative, and is looking out for you and I.

She is definitely a capable administrator. Too bad her viewpoints run far to the right of mainstream, even for a conservative district.

Anonymous said...

She was not looking out for you or me when she signed the pact with Grover Norquist and his Tea party buddies.

We should elect a Senator who can THINK for herself or himself, and consider her constituents first.

You'd never see Dave Martin or John McHugh mindlessly following a guy like Grover.

Patty ought to go back to being county clerk, where someone local can give her direction.

Anonymous said...

We need Patty back in the Clerk's office, anyway, since Rupp is turning out to be less-than trustworthy. Patty's politics might suck and she has absolutely no imagination, but she is honest, at least. Rupp is getting the county into crooked deals with shady companies.

Anonymous said...

Well, one of her many press aides SAID she was under budget.

Anonymous said...

159.. You summed it up in a nutshell.. One of her press aides said.... Anytime there is a statement its one of her press aides.. Anytime something is written its Graham Wise or should I say Senator Wise..
The Patty brigade is taking pictures and making statements for her constantly but we have yet to see anything of consequence up here..
Rupp is dealing with a shady company to say the least.. Anytime theres smoke theres bound to be some fire..
Kathy Streeter is laughing her ass off at all the goings on over there.
Lets list Ritchies acomplishments for her first term.
OK I,m done..

Anonymous said...

I,ll leave the details of what she has acomplished up to the editor of this blog.. He/she is strictly Republican and bleeds GOP.. No matter what is said he/she prints it as fact.. Fact is the previous bloggers making of a fact is correct.. WHAT ACOMPLISHMENTS

You knock Ritchie who is a first term Senator. Do you judge our Assemblywoman who is a second term person in the majority? What has her accomplishments been? I believe she has supported every gun control law to come across the Assembly floor. Good representation of her constituents, huh? In the north Country, neither party helps us.

Anonymous said...

The largest staff in the senate with the least tangible and substantive accomplishments for the AVERAGE taxpayer. Why I's tHis tolerated ?

We still have many unneeded commissions , authorities and redundant SUNY schools that waste scarce resources . I don't give a darn about her softball pr and chili cook. Offs and grip n, grin style . I EXPECT her to accomplish SUBSTANTIVE REFORM AND REDUCE THE SIZE OF GOVERNMENT AND ELIMINATE WASTE, DUPLICATION AND COST OF OPERATING THE STATE GOVERNMENT .

Anonymous said...

Did you demand the same from Aubertine? or just from patti? You really expect one person to do this? i think you are a political shill writing to give patti a hard time.

Anonymous said...

No political connections at al my friend I can't respect either party , they are both incredibly compromised by catering to special interests and whoring for money .

Ms Ritchie is just the latest empty suit to fill the position and she seems to be a nice person but vacuous and easily manipulated and seemingly requires an army of pr flack s like you to try to convince the great unwashed that she has accomplished ANYTHING of lasting substance and reform

I call BS on most everything that comes out from she , AJR and Griffo and the the flacks from BOTH sides of the aisle . politics and politicians are the problem not the solution . Wevthe people deserve far better representation that actually gets at and solves NYS systemic dysfunctionality and excessive bUreaucracy and cost..

So I don't give a damn what u think of me I have no affiliation with either party and will call BS whenever I see it , hear it or read it .

There has been no gun control laws passed that hurt anyone let alone hunters.. Common sense laws are being passed daily because of the idiots with assault weapons..
I dont believe I support a lot of what Addie does but I cant support Patty as she does nothing but swing the vote to the long Island dictator.. Thats her sole purpose in the Senate.. Just go out there and smile and be nice and Graham will lead you around.. Hire reporters to make up nice stories about you.. Run around with a guy with no integrity nor morals and back him as our congress canidate.. Thats not the Patty Ritchie we voted for... Might as well give Ms Tressider a chance she cant do less

Since Patty Ritchie went to Albany:
- A first ever property tax cap.
- Two on time budgets.
- Two budgets with no tax increases.
- An overall reduction in state spending.
- An overall reduction in state employees.
- Stopped the Democratic plan to close North Country prisons.
- Stopped the Democratic plan to merge SUNY Canton and SUNY Potsdam.
- Protected the Psychiatric Center.
- Led the campaign to reform school aid.
- Convinced legislature to close 5 inefficient high cost downstate prisons.
- Blocked Democratic plan to raise sales tax on hard pressed working families.
- Reformed state's industrial power program to focus on job creation and retention.
- Reformed economic development program to focus on North Country and Central New York.
- Is leading campaign to make the murder of firefighters and EMS workers first degree murder.
- Is leading campaign to legalize UTVs
- Stopped Democratic plan to gut NY's ag programs

Wow, Patty's getting credit for a lot of the governor's initiatives there. She's done so little you have to make her responsible for other people's hard work. I'm convinced.

Anonymous said...

Budgets passing on time have nothing to do with her at all she is told by what to do by the 3 guys who actually STILL make all the decisions and then TELL their MINIONS what to do , how to droit and when to do it / so in effect we are still disenfranchised by the 3 guys in the room. The rest is just window. Dressing an/ or BAD theatre of the Absurd

Closing and Merging WERE plans MADE by the Management of the various systems involved NOT the Democratic Party ......STOP LYING

Moreover on the BIG issues that affect tax payers where are school consolidations, SUNY consolidations , reduction of redunt overhead between sate agencies ,commissions and or Authorities . where is the movement to reduce the cost of property taxes which would be reduced if the aforementioned were to have BOLD LEADERSHIP instead of what we have seen?

And lastly WHEN will we get our STAR REBATES ?

ANSWER ???? the 12th of NEVER. That's when but we'll surely get more Hot Air from the largest Pr staff in the legislature ; ). AJR btw is certainly NO BETTER either just so you PR flacks don,t think I,m being tooooo Hard on Ms Ritchie.

WE HAVE THE 3 rd most expensive legislature in the USA and the most dysfunctional

238.. You obviously are one of her operatives.. You gave her credit for many things of which she had no control or say.
I am a middle class taxpayer living in SLC.. She came to my house asking for votes in her run for Senate..
She made some promises which I will repeat to you and whats been done on her part in these matters..
Help break up the commissions and state authorities that create a heavy tax burden for state taxpayers... Her first vote in the Senate was to continue the expensive Tug Hill commission..
Consolodate jobs in State campuses throughout the state.. State was going to combine the presidents job at Canton and Potsdam Sunys but Patty introduced legislation to keep both presidents instead of consolodation..
She is against the millionaires tax and has so stated..
she opposes the minimum wage hike that would increase the spending ability of the very poor in this state...
She voted for a State budget one which was balanced on the backs of hard working NYS employees mostly in the lower class of the pay scales..
She has done nothing to keep the four lane highway in our counties a reality...
She has done nothing to downsize some of these overstaffed correctional facilities in NNY or any where else in the State..
Of course she did save the chili cookoff in MOrristown so thats reason enough to be a Senator..
She opened an office in Ogdensburg that cost the taxpayers of Ogdensburg about tweny five thousand dollars to renovate for her so she could hire the sister of one of her relations.... Oh yah vote Patty

Patty saved our prisons when you said it couldn't be done. Patty saved SUNY Canton when the Democrats were running for cover. Patty restored the school aid the Democrats tried to shift to New York City.

It's makes you crazy the North Country finally has someone who stands up for the North Country.

When 20,000 labor union members, most of whom are Democrats, refuse to endorse Patty's opponent, it's obvious they realize who is standing up for Northern New York.

Anonymous said...

Did they endorse Patty?? Wonder why?? Possibly backing this man
With the news that Republican congressional candidate Matt Doheny (NY-21) kissed and groped a former employee at a bar in DC while interviewing a candidate for a senior campaign position, it’s time for Doheny to stop blaming Democrats for his actions and start taking responsibility for his mistakes. Doheny is insulting North Country voters by asking them to trust him to represent their interests in Washington, yet at the same time showing a complete lack of accountability, integrity, and judgment.

“It’s time for Matt Doheny to stop blaming Democrats for the fact that he apparently cheated on his fiancée with a former employee while conducting a job interview at a DC bar “Voters deserve somebody who has the judgment not to publicly embarrass themselves, but also the strength of character to represent North Country values and take responsibility for his actions the same way he did following his drunk boating incidents.”

Anonymous said...

The following is why I wont vote for Patty Ritchie.. Excuses can be made but these articles come from reliable sources
Doheny Photographed Kissing Consultant Who Is Not His Fiancée, Blamed Democrats. In March 2012, Doheny was photographed kissing campaign consultant Monica Notzon at a bar in Washington, D.C., despite being engaged to another woman. A Doheny spokesman dismissed the photographs as “nothing more than horsing around between two old friends,” and blamed Democratic operatives for attempting to “infringe” on the candidate’s private moments. Doheny had previously employed Notzon’s firm, Bellwether Consulting Group, during his 2010 campaign. [Gawker, 3/28/12]

Video Showed Doheny Rubbing Consultant’s Backside. In March 2012, the New York Post released a new video recording that showed Doheny sliding his hand over the backside of campaign consultant Monica Notzon at the same bar depicted in the Gawker photographs. Doheny was also shown with his arms around two women, including Notzon. [NY Post, 3/30/12]

Doheny Was Interviewing Campaign Aide At Bar. In April 2012, Politico reported that Doheny had been interviewing a job candidate for a senior campaign position while at the Washington, D.C., bar where he was photographed kissing a campaign consultant. A Doheny spokesman declined comment. [Politico, 4/09/12]

Doheny Admitted to Boating Under the Influence Charges. In August 2010, Doheny admitted to that he was charged with boating under the influence on two separate occasions during a two-week span in July 2004. He resolved the issue by paying two fines, totaling $2,500. Doheny said he was embarrassed by the charges. “It does obviously show a lapse in judgment,” he said. “There's no question about that.” [Watertown Daily Times, 8/03/10]

Me I want a man with integrity and north country values.. Sure we all make mistakes but this guy repeatly scourns authority and any family values.. Not congressional material.

The BS is legion from the politician set , the accomplishment are NIL AND they each blame the OTHER side ,,, what bozos !!!! E

Be honest, just once. You want one of your Democratic minions in the senate seat so you can close our prisons, close SUNY Canton and close the Psychiatric Center.

You don't care about about the people of the North Country.

You hate Patty. You hate Ogdensburg. You hate the North Country. You spend every day plotting against everyone who looks out for us.

You want some mindless Democrat who will take orders from her New York City masters.

Patty won't.

That's why you hate her! But we know you hate us too!

Anonymous said...

Patty kept our prisons open when you said she couldn't do it! She kept SUNY Canton open when the Democrats wanted to start closing it. Over and over again, she's screwed up your plans to shift our school aid, our state facilities, our jobs and our funding to the New York City Democrats who constantly plot her destruction.

It's pretty simple.

From now until November, it's you against us.

Patty's all we have.

So you want her put aside and you'll make up any lie, fabricate what ever story to undermine support for her.

Bummer for you.

We're on to your game.

You've got to get through us before you can even begin to get to Patty.

I hate no one but want politicians and government to reform, restructure and eliminate the power of all the special interest fat cats that have both dominated and selfishly squanderedveryscarce tax resources for a limited benefit .

That means any duplication and unnecessary and excessively costly services, programs, agencies, authorities and services MUST be in line with nationally norms benchmarks for both cost and effectiveness,

Youaretryingtopersonalize this because you have no logical defense for what HAS BEEN GOING ON with this legislature for decades , They are ineffective an the 3rdmost costly legislature in the USA ,

So I have no personal enmitytowardanyone butDO EXPECT meaningful,,substantive , and permanent reform to HAPPEN.

many are tired of softball accomplishments and politics as usual RESULTS are needed not SPIN

We all love the NORTH Country, but see the failure of BOTH parties to achieve anythingoflastingvalue for anyone other than special interest groups .

You wanttopersonalize this now because you haven't argument only emotional response. You're well intended but seem to need constant reassurance that all is well when in fact our NYS economy, tax structure and runaway legislature is a mess

Anonymous said...

Look whatever happens happens as far as the election is concerned . I am continually amazed at the thin skin that some in the Senator,s corner exhibit .

It is healthy to have disagreement on issues and strategies and it is wise to have a great deal of skepticism whenever the spinmeisters are at work . our mail box is flooded almost weekly with Nonsense from our reps , most of which has ZERO impact on the lives of average Voters

So whether this person maintains her seat or not , the larger issue is moot . the system is dysfunctional and favors the special intersts not us .

Have a great day !

Nyis a mess , the legislature is a mess and YOU guys refuse to acknowledge just how dire the situation is .
Personally we are able to live ANYWHERE i, but being a NNY native I

Just recently was told that Ritchies office has requested the state withhold the money it owes SLC from the Indian Pact..
In the future it will be retrieved by no less than our hero Senator Patty Ritchie... Oh wow the life of politicans..

Anonymous said...

HAS ANYONE NOTICED THE AUTHOR OF THIS BLOG HAS HAD VERY LITTLE TO SAY ABOUT ANYTHING SINCE LAST NOVEMBERS ELECTION. IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS ONLY POLITICAL STATEMENTS MADE FOR THE GOP CANIDATES HAVE BEEN ON HERE.. WHATS GOING ON?

Anonymous said...

Patty has willing placed herself in a corner by signing Grover Norquist's pledge. Did she do it because she doesn't have the intellect to represent us, or make decisions on her own?

Can you imagine Dave Martin, John McHugh, or even Jim Wright doing that? We have sent a robot to Albany controlled by a guy and his Tea Party friends in Washington D. C.

Ogdensburg was the swing county between her and Aubertine, and even though Aubertine did a lot for us, we dumped him for her. Probably because she was a "local", the State Senate was screwed up by the Dems., and she was endorsed by The Journal (and her now employee, Jim Regan).

To me anyway, it is very frustrating to see her going through the motions, and getting great P.R. while not helping the people in the county that elected her.

Our county has lost it's bond rating, which means higher borrowing interest, and more taxes, for us. The smart way to solve the problem would be a 1% sales tax increase, with at least half of it paid by visitors to our county. Instead, we will probably get a property tax increse paid for entirely by the land owners of St. Lawrece County.

Yes, that would be the smart thing to do. Too bad we didn't elect someone who can think for herself, and do smart things.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone noticed the Democrats have only one solution to just about everything - raising our taxes. They like to pretend they want to soak the rich or the other guy, but they always seem to find ways for the rest of us to pay more.
Take this sales tax idea. We already pay the highest property taxes in the country.
If Patty Ritchie had not refused to buckle under to their pressure, I'd be paying several hundred dollars more a year on top of the thousands I already pay in property taxes.
My wife woulod be paying several hundred dollars more too. My kids would be paying a few hundred more a year.
I've got a radical idea. Why doesn't the government learn to live within its means like my family does.
Thank God Patty Ritchie gets it.

Anonymous said...

Last year the Democrats claimed that if Patty Ritchie did not raise the sales tax on everyone, the county would have to raise property taxes by 28 percent. They got everyone into an uproar. They claimed we would lose the Sheriff's patrol, the planning office, the sky would fall in, there would be anarchy in the streets.
Patty refused to cave in.
Guess what.
It turned out the Democrats were conning everyone. The county survived. They didn't need it. The county even found they had an extra million dollars to buy a new computer system.
Patty Ritchie stands up for people like us.
If the Democrats get one of their minions in office, they'll do a lot more than just raise our sales tax.

Anonymous said...

The Democraitic spinmeisters like to make up lies about Patty Ritchie on this blog. On one hand they try to paint her as an empty suit. Then they say she can force a Democratic governor to shortchange the county by withholding the Indian casino gambling money. The truth is the Mohawks haven't paid the state or the county. And the reservation is not in Patty's senate district. The county is suing the state and the Mohawk to get their $.
If you visit this blog, beware. The Democrats will be making up a lot of lies about Patty in the next 3 months. They desperately want to win back control of the legislature.

Anonymous said...

I notice that Patty's opponent is bringing Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to St. Lawrence County to raise money.
Schneiderman and DiNapoli are the two Democratic thugs that forced the Roethels, the Forsyths and the Wilders to fork over a couple hundred thousand dollars to clean up an oil spill that they allowed a big oil company to escape responsibility for.

Any self respecting Democrat in Northern New York will boycott any event that celebrates extortionists like Schneiderman and DiNapoli.

Friends of the Roethels should picket the dinner.

Schneiderman was the thug who threatened to put Mrs. Roethel in jail!

It's not surprising to see some local Democrats hobnobbing with these New York City gangsters.

WOW.. OH MY GOD WOW...Pattys staffers were busy this week end ..I got up this AM and was going to spend by Starr Rebate but I couldnt.. I getting ready to hear the news about my property tax soon.. Guess why?? The poor class was hoping for the minimum wage to increase to help their financial woes but I guess they wont get it.. Guess why?? This person who figured out they would pay more and his wife would pay more then his kids pay more is right.. The reality is the canadians and tourists will also help.. My suggesstion to the tax payers concerned about the tax is quit going to Jefferson Co and other counties and doing the bulk of your shopping. The money your spending out of this county would make the difference..

Anonymous said...

Guess the Democrats don't want to talk about how they are bringing Schneiderman, the thug who is bankrupting the Roethel family, to Canton Oct. 6 to raise money for their candidate.
There was a time when Democrats stood up to big oil and looked out for the little guy.
Luckily, we have Patty Ritchie looking out for us.

Anonymous said...

Patty's extensive staff has been busy this weekend.

The truth is: The bond rating of St. Lawrence County was reduced needlessly on Patty's watch. This would not have happened under any of our previous senators. They would have found a way to help us.

The legislators of St. Lawrence County from BOTH parties, along with the County Treasurer, Sheriff, and other county administrators asked Patty for assistance.

Patty, staying with her pledge to Grover Norquist and her Tea Party base, refused.

Anonymous said...

I disagree with the thought that Cuomo administration is at fault for the Rothels delima... Truth is Rithcie is the SEnator. Ritchie could have done something.. I know she had to have been asked.. Our previous Senators could and would have helped soften this blow to good people.. Pataki administration is when all of this started.. Unfortunately these people bought contaminated land at a decent price and got caught up in an effort by our government to clean it up and protect the rest of us.. Fact is Ritchie cannot help in any way as she is only a pawn and figurehead for the powers to be..
The pledge of Norquist is nothing more than a charade, not met to help us the average person but rather to keep the very wealthy from haveing to pay more taxes..Her millionaire friend running for Congress most certainly would rather give her donations of twenty or thirty thousand dollars to keep up the good work keeping taxes off his back than pay that same amount to the government in any form..
He wont evern be honest about his total wealth..
People like him hide and invest their money in order to avoid taxes and levys and fees. People like her represent them, not us...

Republicans have bankrupted this country by cutting taxes and failing to cut spending. Democrats can't pick up the pieces because the Republicans won't let their beloved tax cuts expire - even though the Democratic party has caved cowardly to the Republican demands for lower spending. Business is doing better than it has for the past 12 years nationally as the private sector is creating millions of jobs. Unemployment remains low because the GOP is firing people from local, state and federal government jobs - now our government is so small and broke it can't maintain basic infrastructure like roads, power lines and railways and it can't keep us safe with police forces, food regulations and environmental protection. The Republican model of government has failed us, and Patty Ritchie needs to stand up as being part of that failure.

Anonymous said...

To 11:15 and 1:06...I'm glad SOME people are catching on...

Patty is a lightweight trying to pretend she belongs in the cruiser division.

I believe it would not help us in the North Country to have the Dems take over the senate, but it would help us a lot if we didn't have senator who should be a clerk.

Anonymous said...

That last comment couldnt be more true.. Shes a clerk and thats it.. Shes a nice person with a great family but a weak Senator with a good administrator (Graham Wise) She dosmt fart without his approval.
Sleeze bags like this Doheny who like to sit a brag about his milliions and try to buy his way into Congress arnt appreciated by the good people of Northern NY but she backs him.. Wonder Why?? They signed the same pledge to Grover Norquist and the TeaParty.. He has in fact given her aprox thirty thousand dollars for her campaigns.. Wonder Why??? Think about it folks.... Wheres you star rebate as she promised... They will try to pass that just before election I assume.. The Republicans with cave in to the Democrats and the minimum wage will be uped in return for the Star Rebate but dont hold your breath about it staying in the budget for long..
I am a realist and I know she will win reelection this year.. However anything less than70 percent of the vote will show you how weak she is.... Ms Tressider is an unknown in this area and hasnt got much money to campaign on but I am interested in seeing how Patty will dodge debates after accepting them.. I think Star Lake and Fine iwll be her preference seeing no media would cover them and not many people.. Ms Tressdier would like to do some to big audiences but Graham Will not allow Patty to do such

Look at these Democratic operatives bob and weave and try to shift the blame for the Roethel's extortion away from Comptroller DiNapoli and Attorney General Schneiderman.

What self respecting Democrat would want to be seen with thugs like these who abuse their power?

Sam Burns and Jen Stevenson should picket these people.

Anonymous said...

There was a time when Democrats stood up for people. Unfortunately, too many have been co-opted by the New York City element that dominates the state organization.

I think it's shocking that the St. Lawrence County Democrats would want a thug and extortionist like Attorney General Schneiderman to come to Canton .

Real Democrats should join us on the picket line to protest the county Democratic dinner.

Anonymous said...

I think it speaks volumes that Patty's opponent would bring someone like Attorney General Schneiderman here. It's clear that the New York City Democratic machine is pulling her strings and she's too gutless to stand up to them.

The big question is whether any of the local Democratic office holders will stand on the picket line with the friends of the Roethel, Wilder and Forsyth families.

Anonymous said...

It's obvious that this Democratic candidate is in the pocket of the New York City machine.

If she's selling us out for a few campaign donations now, she'll sell her soul once she's in office.

Patty Ritchie looks out for us.

That's why they come on this blog and trash her every week.

They've been doing it for a year and half because once they
get rid of her, they get control of both houses of the legislature and they can raise taxes, close our prisons and our colleges.

Anonymous said...

The same Republican operative made the last four posts. Please stop clogging our blog with your conservative drivel - your policies are a failure and your philosophy is flawed.

Anonymous said...

It's a pretty straightforward question. People in Ogdensburg and the North Country look out for each other. When folks like the Roethels, the Wilders or the Forsyth's need help, we help stand up with them.

That's what separates us from the New York City Democratic operatives who will just never understand us.

Patty Ritchie gets it.

She looks out for us.

That's why you hate her and us.

It will be interesting to see who goes to that dinner with the New York City extortionist.

Anonymous said...

It's no surprise that a Republican needs to be reminded of the rule of law considering they constantly break the law. Guess which political party came out against holding the oil companies responsible for the pollution they caused, making the Roethels and Don Wilder culpable for cleaning the spill on their property by default?

Anonymous said...

Sorry guys. You are missing the point. We don't want a Democratic State Senator. We just want a senator who can THINK for him or herself, and will represent us.

We all agree that Patty Richie is a nice person. Does that alone qualify her to represent us in the state senate? Have we lowered our standards that much?

Anonymous said...

Sorry guys. Your patronizing attitude and the way you look down on Patty Ritchie speaks volumes. Anyone who regularly visits this blog has seen the way you look down your noses at Correctional Officers, police, workers at the Psychiatric Center and most everyone in Ogdensburg.
You hate Patty Ritchie because you can't control her.
You think that if you belittle her that others will share your view, but what you don't grasp is that people in Ogdensburg understand that if your puppet gets into office, you'll be able to close the prisons, the psychiatric center and merge our SUNY colleges.
You know that won't happen as long as we have Patty Ritchie looking out for us.

Makes you nuts, don't it!

Anonymous said...

No Im not nuts.. I voted to put her in office and give her a chance. Now I,ll vote to get her out of office and find someone that will represent all of us.. You seem content that she helped protect some high paid prison jobs.. You seem content that she helped save a high paying SUNY job.. Im not... I want to see her represent the poor slob thats unemployed up here.. Alcoa and GM got in trouble and we they held press conferences and meetings she run up here and got her picture in the paper.. On this blog you say thats not even her district .... What gives with all of this posing for cameras..
Her choice of Congressional canidates is disgusting. A man with little or no morals, no integrity and certainly no family oriented man. A man with about thirty million doallars but he wont admit it and wouldnt fix his mothers porch for her until he was embarresed.. I dont understand these type of things.. Is Patty Ritchie that type of person??? If she isnt then she shouldnt be supporting the likes of him..

Anonymous said...

Ok, Mr. 12:20 pm, where does the $$$ come from to pay for all the above services? Patty can't vote for any tax increases because of her pledge to Grover and his Tea Party bunch.

Furthermore, I began to worry about Patty when she got involved a while back in the Alex Bay fishing incident between a young U.S.fisherman and Candian Border Agents. My thought at the time was: She doesn't even know this is a federal and not a state issue! Yet, she said she would intervene on the young man's behalf. Are you kidding me? And she was doing this while St. Lawrence County was about to lose it's credit rating because she would not sponser the sales tax increase.

As our county services tank, we can thank Patty for NOT representing us.

Anonymous said...

St Lawrence county needs a higher sales tax like a hole in the head. The democratic socialist group of legislators are a joke. Yea lets have an 8% tax so we can give our loyal union members more wage increases and still make no realistic cuts. Poor Johnny still needs his boots.
Lets talk about getting rid of the taxi service Sheriff road patrol. Chaa is a joke, does not run successfully dump it. Sally and the gang are a bunch of puppets who need more revenue to do what? Let the county service tank and the private sector will handle much better. Patty stick to your guns and get some real business people to run the county. St Hilarious needs to go and much much more.

Anonymous said...

When the boater had a problem with Canadian Customs agents, Senator Ritchie enlisted the assistance of Ontario Senator Robert Runciman who represents Brockville and a good section of the St. Lawrence River.
Senator Runciman understood it's vital that Americans who take the time to buy a Canadian fishing license be treated fairly and consistently by the Canadian authoirties. Basically he went to bat for the US side ith the Canadian folks.
Senator Ritchie quickly discovered that for th "talk" about US-Canadian relations, our State officials seldom talked to Canadian provincial or national legislators.
That's why she and Senator Runciman organized the International Senate Border Caucus that brings together US and Canadian legislators to talk about border issues.
Thanks to her efforts, the young man got his money back and there have been no further problems.

It is less a Democrat or Republican thing and more that Pattie Ritchie is a self-serving sack of shit.

Mr. 1220..
You obviously are a wealthy Republican... To make false and slimy remarks like that.. I have concerns about all that I have written about.. I am not as easily led by the nose as you are..
Fact..I want to remind you Patty Ritchie voted to approve the State Budget this year.. Fact it happened at a devastating cost to the employees of the State institutions throughout this area with the exception of the higher paid administratvie jobs.. She voted not to give most people raises for the next three years then minimual reaises after that for a couple of years.. She put a dagger in the heart of most state employees while fluffing up the pillow for the presidents and the administrators throughout the state... Fact She was going to help get rid of soem of the commissions and state authorities that drain our tax dollars.. Fact she voted to keep them in her district like Tug Hill with its two million dollar payroll.. I voted for her and counted on my star rebate.. fAct she voted for a budget without it... After the budget was passed she did some grandstanding and introduced legislation to bring the program back, but forgot to put forth a plan to pay for it so it was defeated by Democrats in the assembly, which was logical..
Fact.. She has yet to vote for anything that helps the very poor.. She insists on supporting witholding medicade payments to the counties in the state, she insists in supporting witholding the gambling money from the counties. She has not supported any bills tht give a mandate relief for the counties and she refuses to assist her home county with a sales tax increase while every other county in the state but three enjoys. You applaud this by false information.. If your information was true why hasnt the tax increase broke the residents of fifty other counties in the state and why dont they all come here to shop etc...
I,m not nuts fellow you are.. You know she will win this year but anything less than 70 to 75 percent of the vote will be a disgrace wont it....
I dont know Tressider but I,ll vote for her because she couldnt possibly do worse..

Thats another thing that really bothers me about Patty.. Regan has had run ins with the law.. His crime was prosecuted by Gerry Richards as assistant DA under Charles gardner.. She has a very low standard for her employment in my opinion.. Oh I forgot it dosnt matter if hes hones if he can write good stories.. Regan now Doheny and his run in with the law. His total disrespect for what he wants to represent...

Sure Patty is looking out for us Tea Party Conservatives, but what about her supporters who are farmers? Check out today's papers on the farm bill. The WDT says Patty is talking about helping farmers, and supports the bull, but won't contact Speaker Boehner or her Republican friend in Congress. Why??? BECAUSE SHE SIGNED THE PLEDGE WITH GROVER NORQUIST, AND THE TEA PARTY BUNCH IN WASHINGTON for no new expenditures or taxes.

Our Blog Master says Patty is looking out for "us". Who is "us"? Patty made a pledge to folks in Wahington D.C., and unless our Blog Master lives in D.C., Me thinks he is getting confused.

If I was a St. Lawrence County farmer, I'd be confused thinking: "That Richey girl is from Heuvelton, and one of us." But then, when the farm bill checks stop arriving they'll be wondering "WHAT HAPPENED?'

So, if you are a farmer in Patty's district, you can feel how Patty DOES NOT look out for you or ANYONE in St. Lawrence County, but our Blog Master, of course.

I read the same article about the farm bill. It doesn't make sense that she doesn't support the farmers if she is from Heuvelton. What's in it for her?

Good question. Maybe she has some deal lined up like Jim Wright did with National Grid. If she doesn't, then she is really inept.
She must have something lined up after alienating the St. Lawrence County Legislature, and now the farmers. She's not that naive is she?

Seeing she wont be supporting Doheny for Congress now as he is one of the preachers of cutting the AG plan, and foodstampss.. Or does that matter.. He only want to cut foodstamps, medicare, social security , WIC, Ms research and any other Federal Program that assists the poorer people of this country.. Why?? So he and other millionaires dont have to share pain of new taxes on the richer.
